Founded in 2018, IAmCollegeLife is a social club that aims to improve the social skills of autistic teens and young adults by fostering friendships.
Building Friendships
When supporting IAmCollegeLife fundraiser, you are improving the social lives of autistic teenagers and young adults.
The idea of IAmCollegeLife came to fruition when the founder noticed there was a social void for her autistic son. No one was inviting him to hang out, he wasn’t developing typical relationships, and no neighborhood kids were knocking on the door asking if he could come outside to play.
About 1 in 36 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to estimates from CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network.
